Taibo Won a prize in MBFWSA 2012 edition

Taibo Bacar Mozambican Designer won a prize in Mercedes benz fashion week in south africa 2012 edition, Prize for Emerging Designer of The year.

i dont know the name of this model, but i wish could know, because she has the firm attitude, and she incorporated Taibo expression in this collection in her pose on runway.

i will link some post by some critics about Taibo collection, shall i say this guy is going pretty well.

Without shadow of a doubt the Mozambican young designer; Taibo Bacar’s collection was the highlight and the ultimate of Mercedes Ben Fashion Week Africa 2012 PERIOD-THE-END.

There was just that one notorious gown; the floor sweeping sheer number with strategically stitched blue embroidery. The piece was totes off-beat, all you could hear was hernia inducing gasps when it hit the runway! It looked like a Bollywood wardrobe malfunction!

As if the standing ovation and lusting in the tent during the show wasn’t enough, Miss Thang later on scooped himself a Emerging Designer of the Year: Africa Award on Sunday. Well naturally there was just no other option there.

Vanity Fair guru bored by SA bling

"There are designers who are in tune with what is required from them. Taibo Bacar [from Mozambique] was head and shoulders above the rest. The clothes were beautifully made and had a modern take on Africanism. Print was used with restraint."

Mozambican designer Taibo Bacar was presented with the Emerging Designer of the Year: Africa award.

Bacar had shown his collection of rich colours and structured lines while a heavy downpour drowned out his soundtrack on Saturday afternoon.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa 2012: Colour Inspiration

I loved the colour combinations of Taibo Bacar’s collection, even if the use of the same African Wax print did become a bit repetitive – it would have been lovely to see the use of two or three print motifs within the collection.

It's easy to see why TAIBO BACAR has been crowned Emerging Designer of the Year @ the #MBFWAFRICA 2012. I've loved his work for a while now and have been shouting out about his amazing talent. I love the detail in his work, its crafted to perfection. Great shoe collection, as well as all the other accessories.
